Once the tile is placed in the new group, the divider goes away. To start a new section of apps, click and drag the tile until a divider displays above the tile. To move an app, left click and drag the tile to the desired location. Pinned apps can be organized and grouped together. Depending on the app, the More options will vary. The options include unpinning the app, resizing the app tile, as well as additional options. Once an app is pinned in the Start menu, additional options can be found by right clicking on the app tile. The app can also be pinned to the Taskbar by selecting More from the options when right clicking the app. Once pinned, an app tile is placed on the right side of the Start menu. From what I know, Windows 7 and Modern style don't have pin to Start11 option since it was design to work like the old actual Windows 7 Start menu. Right-clicking on and empty spot in the Modern style menu (my much preferred menu style) only shows one option: Configure Start11.Ĭan we expect that a more robust right-click menu, including the "Pin File" and "Pin Folder" options, will be forthcoming for the Modern style start menu? Alternately, I wouldn't mind seeing the "Pin to Start11" option show up in more regular right-click menus, such as regular document and image files, folders, and URI/URL links.
